Free Reading Program for Kids

Are you familiar with the book Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons? I've used it with two of my kids and really think it's a great resource.

The authors of this book have also created a computer program, Funnix, based on the book. This program usually runs about $250, but for the month of January it's absolutely FREE.

Even if you aren't sure it's the right fit for your child, for the price of FREE, you can definitely try it out!

Got Milk?

Free milk for a year? They had me a free. And year. The Pour One More campaign wants give families free milk for a whole year! They will also give milk to a family in need. Awesome.

This would save me from seeking permission to get that cow for the backyard I sort of want to get. Right after I get those chickens...

Okay, what are you waiting for? Go enter to win free milk!

Thanks, STL Mommy, for the tip!

Free Things from Vista Print

I have used Vista Print several times and have been very pleased with everything I've received. I've ordered the free business cards, free postcards, free return address labels, and free address stamps (which I put my bank deposit info on so I could easily stamp the backs of checks for depositing).

The "catch" is that you have to pay shipping and it seems like $3.99 or however much it ends up being may be too much for what they are sending, but I just view it as a $3.99 item including shipping. It really does end up being a good deal.

Last year I uploaded our Christmas card photo and had them printed through Vista Print. Loved it. With the free postcard option I made a thank you note post card that was easy to mail (and made for cheaper postage). Anyway, all that to say I trust this site and wanted to let you know.

I just tried it and the ticket I received is good for more than 20 local theaters in St. Louis!
