I wanted to show you a photo of Peaches testing out the PupLight, but she wasn't exactly in a photographic mood last night when I was trying this out. First of all, she kept trying to bite the light off of her. Second of all, she's a major escape artist and had I tried to snap a photo of her with one hand, she would have figured out how to get away, so I didn't try it. But you can get a good feel for how it looks in the doggie you see above.
Peaches eventually got used to wearing the light and did okay with it on our walk. The light path itself wasn't very big, so I'm not sure how helpful it would be to the person doing the walking, but as far as making the dog visible, mission accomplished.
Two important things to note: It appears the collar this comes with isn't meant to be the dog's primary collar. It's designed to slip over the dog's head. What this means, is that if you try to use it as the dog's primary collar, the dog can easily slip out of it while you are on a walk. Just know that ahead of time. As such, it doesn't have a place to attach a leash to. You really should have another collar on your dog in addition to this one.
At any rate, it's an interesting gadget and if you own a dog, you might enjoy having one. You have the opportunity to win one now. Here's how:
The winner will be selected by Random.org. This contest will close on Friday, January 14. The winner will be notified over the weekend and will need to respond within 24 hours or risk forfeiting the prize to the next in line. This giveaway is limited to a US address only. IMPORTANT: You must have your email address available for me to contact you. If I can't contact you, I will choose another winner. It's happened before.
Congrats to:
Yay! I'm contacting you now!
You can see the rest of this week's reviews and giveaways here.
Disclosure: I received a PupLight for my own dog for the purpose of review. I think our dog may like it more when she's no longer a goofy puppy. We shall see. See my proper disclosure statement here.

I take my dog to the park at night and would love to see if he stepped in poop. Did you know that puplight was a featured product on "Million Dollar Idea", The Big Idea With Donny Duetsch? I tweeted this @rose_silly and fb link at Rosalie Deangelis and i 'like' it too!
My dog and I do winter events with our local dog meet up group. I don't go out much at night, but the dog goes out in the fenced yard and I would love this light since we live in a rural area.
When I went to the Puplight website, I learned that PupLight was named "Best Lighted Dog Product" by the Whole Dog Journal, January 2008.

This would be perfect...my husband loves to take our dogs for walks at night in the dark....we live on a street with no streetlights..so it is very dark.
Posted link on my Facebook status...
I "Liked" Puplight on Facebook and posted the link as required above.
For another entry....I subscribed to St. Louis Seminary Style....I guess that is where you will get my email if I win?? or from my Google blog account I set up to post on here?
Sharon - I don't have access to your email. There's a way to change your blogger setting to make your email accessible, but unless that changes or you come back and leave your email, I don't have any way to contact you if you win. You can email it to me if you want: halfpinthouse at gmail dot com
Well, I think that Daisy or Opal would love that light
Only the best for our dogs, let me tell you!!
I take the dog for a morning walk before heading out for work each day.
Dark, cold, doesn't matter... I still walk my dogs. They need the exercise and fresh air. That's what being a pet owner is about!
I learned that PupLight makes dogs visible up to a mile a way. Wow that's some distance!
I subscribe to your blog!
